Technical Producer
We are currently seeking a Technical Producer to join our team in the Paintworks office. The role will require experience of technical project management, budgeting, event coordination and a great knowledge in technical delivery of live events and exhibitions.
Role: Full time

The role
We’re on the lookout for a Technical Producer to join our team! You’ll play a senior role, overseeing all aspects of technical production for live events and client projects, making sure every detail is delivered. You will become an extension of the clients team and work alongside them to create great events.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead AV Production
Take charge of AV production for a wide variety of projects, ensuring that everything from video and audio to lighting and staging is planned. Your attention to detail will be key in ensuring everything looks and sounds amazing whist collaborating with multiple suppliers.

Collaborate with Creative Teams
Work closely with our creative directors, producers, and clients to understand the vision for each project. You’ll bring that vision to life by managing the technical side of things, aligning the technical with the creative to make each event or production come to life in the best possible way.

On-Site Technical Oversight
You’ll be hands-on at events, overseeing the technical aspects from start to finish. Your calm presence and ability to troubleshoot on the fly will ensure everything goes smoothly. If any technical issues arise, you’ll be quick to resolve them without disrupting the flow of the event or production.

Project Coordination
Coordinate with the project management team to schedule and manage all resources. You’ll ensure that the right equipment and personnel are in place, and that time lines and budgets are adhered to.

Technical Expertise & Support
Provide guidance on all AV-related matters, offering technical recommendations, brand enhancements and scenic design.
What We’re Looking For

Experience
You bring several years of experience in AV production, with a solid understanding of audio, video, lighting, and other AV technologies. You’ve worked on live events and medium scale productions understanding the importance client communications.

Skills
You have a knowledge of AV equipment (sound systems, lighting rigs, cameras, and projectors), and you know what is needed. This isn't an operator role but knowing what is happening is a must. Managing budgets and clients expectaions is a key part of the role.

You’re a calm, detail-oriented leader who thrives on bringing people and technology together. You’re organized, flexible, and love collaborating with others. You handle pressure well and keep everything running smoothly, even in high-stakes situations. Communication is your strength, and you know how to manage expectations and coordinate between teams and clients.

Production Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on and organised Live Event Production Manager to help support our teams and keep everything running smoothly across our live events.
This role is all about staying on top of the details, and making sure every part of the production comes together seamlessly.
Role: Full time
Based: Paintworks Office, Bristol
Salary: £27k - £32K

The role
Acting as a central point of contact, this is a a hands-on role that requires strong organisation, the ability to juggle multiple tasks, and a calm approach under pressure, all while supporting the team to deliver the best possible live event productions.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting teams with the planning and delivery of live events from start to finish

Keeping everyone connected, from creative and technical teams to suppliers and crew

Helping build schedules, run sheets, and timelines

Making sure the right people, equipment, and resources are in the right place at the right time

Jumping in to solve problems quickly during live events

Keeping communication clear and easy across the whole team

Helping review how things went and spotting ways to improve for next time
